Digital Cataloguing Assistant
The Bonne Bay Historical Archive is a physical and digital collection of material and historical resources (photographs, stories, recordings and maps) from the Bonne Bay South and Trout River area. The Archive is managed by a group of volunteers who share a passion for preserving our local history and culture.
Position Description:
Working with volunteers from the Archive, the successful applicant will be responsible to catalogue, utilizing a standard format, a collection of historical photographs for public access.
Qualifications:
The applicant must have their own computer, internet connection and a working knowledge of spreadsheets, Google Workspace and file management, or computer literacy skills sufficient to learn programs with minimal training. Ideally the applicant will be familiar with the history and culture of Bonne Bay South and Trout River.
Timeframe:
It is estimated the contract will take approximately 200 hours and is available on a part-time or full-time basis.
Remuneration:
This contract position will be paid at the rate of $20.00 per hour.
