The Archival Process
We plan to collect and provide access to archival material relevant to the history of Bonne Bay. We are working to arrange and describe this material according to acceptable, current archival principles, and to provide adequate and appropriate environmental and storage conditions. Unless restricted by legal requirements or by written agreements with the donor, the content of the archives will be made accessible to the public.
Much more material will be added to the Archive from time to time, in both original and digital form.

In the meantime, please enjoy this small collection of samples from the archive.
Memorial University Digital Archive Initiative (DAI)
The Bonne Bay Historical Archive has partnered with Memorial University's Digital Archive Initiative (DAI) to create a permanent home for our digital material. The DAI is a vast repertory of digitized cultural resources that documents Newfoundland and Labrador's history and culture.
We are currently in the process of adding our digital archive materials to the DAI and we encourage you to check back regularly for updates and new material.

In addition to the DAI, we will also continue to host a selection of items here at bonnebayhistory.ca

"Families of the South Arm of Bonne Bay" By Roy M. Osmond
We at the Bonne Bay Historical Archive Committee are thrilled to add to our website one of the most important contributions to the history of Bonne Bay, Roy Osmond’s “Family Names of the South Arm of Bonne Bay 1800s-1930”. This unique source of genealogical information was reproduced privately in 1987, and has been long since unavailable, except in some libraries and a few private collections.
